By using Dreamalickish (the "app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. For entertainment and reflection only
Dreamalickish generates readings of your dreams using a small AI language model that runs on your phone. These readings are for entertainment and personal reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, financial or any other kind of professional advice, and they are not a diagnosis or treatment of anything.
AI-generated text can be wrong, generic, or strange. Do not rely on a reading to make decisions about your health, relationships, or life.
If you are experiencing sleep problems, low mood, anxiety, distressing dreams, or anything affecting your wellbeing, please talk to a doctor, therapist or other qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately. The app is not a substitute for any of this and is not monitored by anyone.
2. Age
You must be 13 or older to use the app. The app asks your birth year on first run and does not admit anyone younger.
3. Your content
Your dreams and readings are yours and stay on your phone. We do not receive them and claim no rights in them.
If you choose to share a dream's tags with The Collective (see the Privacy Policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy), you give us permission to combine those tags with others' into aggregate trends, shown in the app and made available to others as de-identified statistics through our data API (see the Privacy Policy, section 2.5). Because shared tags are not linked to you, that permission cannot be revoked for tags already sent; withdrawing consent stops future sharing.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to: send anything to The Collective other than what the app produces; flood, poison or manipulate the aggregate views; probe or attack the service; or use the app in violation of any law. We may refuse or rate-limit requests to protect the service.
5. The Collective access
Sharing a dream earns temporary access to The Collective's trend views, for about a day. Access is provided as-is; we may change what The Collective shows, how long access lasts, or suspend it, at any time. Aggregate views are only shown once enough people have contributed, so on some nights there may be nothing to show.
6. The app is provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. AI models may produce inaccurate or inappropriate output; the app includes safeguards but cannot guarantee them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on a reading, from use or inability to use the app, or from loss of data stored on your device. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places these limitations apply to the extent permitted.
8. Third-party services
On first run the app downloads AI models from Hugging Face and GitHub. Those downloads are subject to those services' terms. The models are licensed by their authors under their own licenses.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above moves when we do, and the app will ask you to accept material changes before continuing.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Washington.
